Must See Bangkok Temples

No visit to Bangkok is complete without a visit to the temple of the city. The temples, or wats, are everywhere and the main temples can be seen in a day or two.
You can plan your trip or check the hotel lobby and register for a or day trips. There are 5 temples which are called "must see".
Wat Arun Temple of Dawn. On the banks of the Chao Phraya River. As the name suggests, is ideal for the first thing to visit in the morning, the sun rises. So you can see the sun bouncing off the walls of the temple with a pearly luster.
Wat Phra Kaew, or Temple of the Emerald Buddha, is situated in the heart of Bangkok, the Royal Palace. Despite its name, the statue is made of jade and adorned with gold jewelry. There are three golden clothes that change with the seasons.
Like all the temples, you must dress appropriately. For men this means, pants and a shirt collar. For women, a dress and as far as possible cover. If you are badly dressed, it is rejected or the renting of garments.
Another temple worth visiting is Wat Pho. It is the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. It is the oldest temple in Bangkok and houses more than 1,000 images of Buddha. The reclining Buddha 46 meters long, plated in gold, adorned with pearl eyes and the soles of the feet.

Here Benchamabophit Wat. It is a temple of marble in the year 1899. The Board of Directors (ubosot) is a statue of Buddha called Phra Buddhajinaraja Sukhothai style in 1920 after the original in Wat Mahathat in Phitsanulok. The ashes of King Chulalongkorn are buried beneath the statue. In the gallery surrounding the Coordinating Board 52 statues of Buddha, Prince Damrong Rajanubhab taken for their king.
Finally Wat is transformed, the golden Buddha. It is a fascinating story and a temple that has to do.
